Scleroperalia with one pair of apicalia and 3 or 4 pairs of compound bristles. Ciliary pits absent. Epidermal cells in stripes. Jaws without a cauda, lamellar but open, with few teeth in a rostro-ventral arc. Without a jugum. Without ability to swim backwards.
