Biogeographic data are edited through password-protected Web pages controlling tables linking collecting-site data to the taxonomic tables.
Data on geographical sites are entered separately. Each site record is typically linked to many collecting records.
Coordinates can be entered in either standard degree or digital format. All records have coordinates in digital format (for use in mapping and data exchange with other databases [OBIS, for example]). Conversion of degree entries to digital is a matter of simply clicking on a converting hyperlink (cvt).
