Tessens et al. (2014) (citation) state: Also Zonorhynchus Karling, 1952 does not belong to a monophyletic Cicerinidae. Therefore, this taxon is removed from Cicerinidae. As this taxon forms clade on its own, we refrain from putting it into a family.
