Riser NW 1981 (citation)- p 140, "C. hymanae has been collected in small numbers in the high intertidal in coarse sand/ fine gravel lenses in poorly sorted beaches between the north shore of Massachusetts Bay and Bocabec, New Brunswick. A large uniform population was present in March, 1980, approximately 8 m from the cliff face a Brandy Cove."
