Duplominona tridens Notes

Marcus E 1954 (citation) pg. 484-485: 'Minona tridens, n. sp. (Fig. 67-70), was found in coarse sand with organic
detritus in the littoral of the island of São Sebastião. The hind end bears three toes with adhesive papillae
(k). The musculous-granular organ (Fig. 70) contains fine and coarse granular secretion. The male copulatory
organ (r) is musculous without cilia (occur in M. evelinae) and spines (exist in M. mica) like in M. divae.
The latter however has not the solid cephalic and caudal gut (n) of tridens and mica. As in all other
brazilian species of the genus the musculous-glandular organ lies behind the penis and has a curved stylet
(m), while it is pre-penial and has a straight stylet in the adriatic M. insularis (Meixner 1928).'
