Eukalyptorhynchia Cytocystididae Notes

Karling (1964)(citation) originally introduced the family name as "Cytocystidae", and in the same article he also spelled "Koinocystidae" an "Polycystidae". According to the rules these names, however, should be "Koinocystididae", Polycystididae" and "Cytocystididae". In recent literature (last decades) the two former families have always been spelled Koinocystididae and Polycystididae, whereas there has been a mixed use of Cytocystidae (e.g. Willems et al 2009(citation)) and Cytocystididae (eg. Van Steenkiste et al.2008(citation)). Therefore, there seems to be no prevailing usage, and therefore it is better to opt for the correctly-formed name "Cytocystididae", also to be consistent with the other family names within Eukalyptorhynchia
