Peebles F 1913 (citation)- described this species from Naples.
	Described as Aphanostoma pulchella- not Pereyaslawzewa's species.
	Pear-shaped, yellow, many small rhabdites in diagonal rows; bursa seminalis without 
	chitinous mouthpiece; 2 genital openings; pelagic at depths of 1-2 m- does not crawl on 
	seaweed; frontal gland filling anterior end of body surround brain and statocyst and
	extends to mouth; pharynx short circular tube with thick muscular walls; male organs mature
	first; penis largest and most conspicuous organ in body.

Westblad E 1946 (citation)- lists as pulchella (Uljanin) Peebles, p 7 notes it is littoral species.
