Callioplanidae Discosolenia Notes
Discosolenia Freeman, 1933, is treated as a synonym of Koinostylochus Faubel, 1983, because its contained species, D. burchami and D. washingtonensis, are synonyms of Koinostylochus burchami. Faubel (1983) does not explain why he publishes new genus Koinostylochus and treats the senior name in synonymy.... This is not the only time he acts against priority either – see Haploplana Laidlaw, 1903, placed under Euplanoida Faubel, 1983 -- and he does not explain why he does this. --Sara Alexander, Smithsonian Inst.
