Hyman L (citation)- p 285, "The species appears to have a distribution similar to [Stylochus tripartitus], that
is, from Oregon to Lower California, being apparently more common in the northerly part of its range."  "It
is easily distinguished from the other large species (californicus) by the lack of tentacles."
