Rhynchokarlingiidae Coulterella Diagnosis


Medium, or small-sized Rhynchokarlingiidae (1–3 mm long) with two cuticular hooks in male copulatory
apparatus, in form of two, mostly rounded or oval sacks of different form, size and structure; without
stick-shaped and clear isthmus, or with very poorly developed and indistinct (broad) isthmus between bases
and distal parts. Hooks squeezed in lateral or frontal planes; in most cases, with very small, sharpened tips
at their most distal ends. Bulbus muscle wall, as a rule, without any thickenings or knob-shaped
constructions. Penis with normally developed papilla, length of which equal to length of bulbus or 2–3 times
shorter.
