Rhynchokarlingiidae Sitnikovaella Diagnosis


Small- or medium-sized Rhynchokarlingiidae. Male copulatory apparatus of typical for Rhynchokarlingiidae
structure; with 2 hooks of very unusual form and structure. Each hook has irregular basal opening and
elongated distal part, longest axis of which goes in parallel and in the same direction as the maximum
diameter of the basal opening. One end of the proximal part is cone-shaped, another one claw-shaped and
strongly bent.
