Trigonostomum vanmecheleni Diagnosis
Species of Trigonostomum with a stylet 48–55 µm long. Stylet consists of a tubular stylet proper with a 90° proximal turn, and a mantle that forms two plates, each with a distal hook. One plate much broader than the other. Proximal stylet opening with a spur. Bursal appendage 105–126 µm long, consisting of a heavily-coiled tube that distally splits into six finer tubes.
