"Ilyplanidae, of oval body form; cerebral tentacles present; eyes in paired cerebral and tentacular clusters, marginal eyes absent; pharynx plicate, oriented antero-posteriorly; common genital pore located posterior to pharynx; elongated, convoluted ejaculatory duct, lined with glandular cells; penis armed with stylet; muscular, U-shaped seminal vesicle present; vagina elongate, directed anteriorly, dorsal to male genitalia; Lang’s vesicle absent."
