Convolutidae Conaperta Diagnosis


Hooge MD & Tyler S, 2005 (citation): Bursa with a sclerotized bursal nozzle.  Common male and female gonopore,
positioned ventrally.  Opening to male copulatory organ positioned posteriorly to opening to seminal bursa. 
Male copulatory organ consists of a muscular, often glandular, tubular penis, always unciliated, surrounded
by a muscular seminal vesicle. Stimulatory organs sometimes present.  Insunk brain. Lateral edges often
slightly enrolled. Usually with algal symbionts.  Usually with pigmented ocelli.
