Animals about 3–4 mm long, coloured grey, although often green when zoochlorellae are present. Eyes greenish-black, situated at the lateral side of the head. Reproductive structures situated caudally from the gonopore.[From Houben AM, Van Steenkiste N, Artois TJ (2014): 338]
