Abstract / Notes
D. iberica sp. nov. from the D. gonocephala group is described. This new species is distinguished by the typical diaphragm separating the seminal vesicle from the ejaculatory duct which latter opens into the papilla apex, a well-defined-muscular penial bulb, a stout papilla surrounded by a basal glandular ring and a single atrium. The external pharyngeal musculature is 2-fold. The chromosome complement is 2n = 16 for the type-locality population, 3n = 24 for the Castille's population and 2n = 18 for another strain from Mallorca.
