Lankester ER (1866) Annelida and Turbellaria of Guernsey. Ann. and Mag. of Nat Hist serial 3, 17: 388-389. |
Abstract / Notes
The list includes Leptoplana auricularis, Leptoplana flexilis, Eurylepta cornuta and Convoluta paradoxa.____"LANKESTER gives a list of the Turbellaria and Annelida met with by him in a dredging expedition off Guernsey and the neighbouring islands. Ann. _ Mag. Nat. Hist. vol. xvii. 1866, p. 389. .LANKESTER (l. c.) describes the following new species:- Harmothoe sarniensis, p. 374, under stones near low-water mark, Guernsey and Herm; H. malmgreni, p. 375, in the tubes of Chaetopterus insignis, Herm. Antinoe nobilis, p. 375, found either close to or in the tubes of Terebella nebulosa, on which it apparently feeds (_). A. zetlandica, p. 377, dredged in Shetland. Halosydna (Alentia) jeffreysii, p. 377, Herm. This is apparently the same as Lepidonotus imbricatus of the British Museum Catalogue. The Aphrodita imbricate, Linn., is by Malmgren regarded as identical with L. cirratus, Johns, and Aud. _ Milne-Ed.; therefore Lankester changes the name to jefflreysii. This species is probably A. gelatinosa, Sars."
