Abstract / Notes
Eighty valid species and 29 valid genera of freshwater Turbellaria are listed from the African continent. Animals of uncertain taxonomic status and doubtful records of genuine species are mentioned. Synonyms and comments on problems of nomenclature are included. The composition of the turbellarian fauna in Africa is discussed.
