Abstract / Notes
The mature eggs pass from the 2 vitellaria ventrally and medially between the ventral integument and the bursa seminalis, and emerge to the exterior through a median rupture of the ventral body wall at the level of the bursa. The jelly mass is meanwhile secreted by the entire surface of the animal during repeated rotation. The eggs emerge during rotation of the animal. The process of egg laying requires 5-6 min.
