Abstract / Notes
Dendrocoelopsis bessoni, inhabiting subterranean waters high in the Pyrenees [France] is described. The distinctive characteristic of this species is the occurrence of lateral lobular expansions along the dorsal part of the bursal canal which is surrounded by strong circular muscles. The diploid chromosome complement consists of 20 elements which are mostly metacentric, and the auxocytes possess 10 bivalents.Home page -- (Main hierarchy) |
