Abstract / Notes
Planaria alpina was present in all brooks examined; it was abundant near the surface, rare or lacking at depths. In the sources of the Prut, P. gonocephala replaced P. alpina in the upper limits of forest, but in some of the tributaries of the Prut, gonocephala was lacking. Between the territories occupied by alpina and gonocephala was a zone in which neither occurred (northern Czarnohora) .
