Abstract / Notes

"An illustrative description of the new microturbellarian species of the genus Phaenocora Ehrenberg 1835 (Turbellaria, Neorhabdocoela, Typhloplanidae), Phaenocora gagarini sp. n., is given. The species was found in a temporary water body in the vicinity of Borok city (Yaroslavl province, Russia). Ph. gagarini sp. n. is the most similar to Ph. polycirra Beklemischev 1929, but clearly distinguished in the structure of the copulative organ, the localization of spines, and the cirruli shape. Some data on biology and ecology of the new species are provided."
