Abstract / Notes
"From the coasts of central, east and south Hokkaido 2 new Coelogynoporids, i.e., C. coniuncta sp. nov. and C. birostrata sp. nov. are reported. On the basis of the organization of the reproductive organs these species belong in the genus Coelogynopora Steinboeck, although some small, but important, differences in the structural features of the bursal organ remain. From periodic live observations of the seminal vesicles, the linkage of their ends can be traced to a difference in the developmental process (in C. coniuncta). The phylogeny, compared with the hitherto known Coelogynopora spp., is described as apomorphous."
