Abstract / Notes
An examination of additional material of Gyratrix attemsi Graff indicates that it must be assigned to a separate genus which is intermediate between Polycystididae and Gyratricidae; both Gyratrix and Gyratricella are placed in Polycystididae. Keys, morphologic notes, distributional data, and/or descriptions are given for the following: Gyratrix hermaphroditus Ehrenberg; G. proavus Meixner; GYRATRICELLA, type Gyratrix attemsi Graff; DANORHYNCHUS, type duplostylis, England; D gosoeensis, SCANORHYNCHUS, types limophilus. and S. forcipatus, Sweden; and NEOPOLYCYSTIS, type N. tridentata, Germany.
