Abstract / Notes
A description of a new turbellarian found encysted in the connective tissue of the tube-feet of the sea-star, Coscinasterias calamaria (Gray) is given. The turbellarian is devoid of a mouth, pharynx, intestine and certain other organs. It appears to be an aberrant rhabdocoel and is named ACHOLADES asteris. A new family, ACHOLADIDAE, is erected for its reception.
