Abstract / Notes
Some asexual specimens of D. gonocephala can reach sexual maturity and become perfectly fecund in the [male] line, sterile in the [female] line. The reasons for this [female] sterility are unknown. By crossing formerly asexual and normal planarians, some agamic specimens were obtained. The asexual reproduction is considered as a mendelian character.
