Hooge MD 2003 (citation) - This species appears to be protandric. Male-mature specimens were typically female-mature as well, having both eggs and a seminal bursa. However, intermixed with these specimens were male-immature/female-mature specimens, with a pointed posterior end, a seminal bursa, and well-developed eggs, but without a male gonopore or male copulatory organ.
