Polycelis tibetica Notes


Kawakatsu & Liu 1987 (citation)- p. 43, "According to Tu & Po 1959 (citation), animals of this blackish colored species are 15 mm in length and have a rounded head with a pair of well-developed auricles; with numerous small eyes (approximately 100 in total number). The species is distributed in the alpine region of the northeastern area of Tibet (Hsitsand)."
Kawakatsu & Mitchell (1998) (citation), under discussion of Sorcelis tibetica Zabusov, 1911, which Kenk (1974) synonymized with Polycelis tibetica, say '[nec Polycelis tibetica Hyman, 1934]'---i.e., these two tibetica species are not the same.
