Macrostomida with intestine extending anterior to the mouth (preoral intestine). Ciliated sensory pits present at frontal end, typically around level of brain. Frontal glands present surrounding pharynx. Asexual reproduction through fissioning occurring. Marine, brackish and freshwater habitats; two genera.
