Phaenocora achaeorum Diagnosis


Animals about 1 mm long, with black eyes that appear white under reflective light. Zoochlorellae not mentioned in literature. Male copulatory organ of the duplex-type IA. Prostate vesicle empties through a constriction at the distal end of the copulatory organ. Female genital structures only partly known. Female genital canal, genito-bursal duct and intestinal bursa present, hence either of the UNIPUNCTATA-type or the AGLOBULATA- type.
