Abstract / Notes
Polycelis coronata is widely distr. in mountain streams and lakes. The external features and the anatomy of the reproductive system are descr. The sp. reproduces both sexually (by cocoons) and asexually (by fission). The genus Polycelis entered the N. America probably from Asia, via the Alaskan land bridge.
