Abstract / Notes

The external structure and copulatory apparatus of the following are figured and described Bipalium
choristosperma, B. poiense, B. pseudophallicuni, B. mjobergi, B. penrissenense, Pelmatoplana glandulosa, all
of Beauchamp 1925, B. moseleyi Loman, B. everetti Moseley, and B. graffi, J. Muller. The copulatory
apparatus
of all except the last named species has hitherto been unknown. These species from the mountains of
northwestern Borneo with 2 or 3 doubtful forms complete the list of known terrestrial planaria from this
island. The unidentified forms seem to be restricted to this locality and more intensive study of these
forms
would probably shed light on their identity. The copulatory apparatus of several of these forms is very
striking; in the case of B. moseleyi, for instance, the very long seminal vesicle opens into a very ramified
deferens.
