Ceratopera roscoffensis Notes
Messoplana roscoffensis was transferred to Certopera by Van Steenkiste & Leander (2018) (citation) (along with all species of Messoplana) because M. pacifica grouped with other Ceratopera species in their molecular phylogeny. However, Diez et al. (2026) (citation) found M. falcata was distinct from Ceratopera spp in their molecular phylogeny; and because of morphological similarities between M. falcata and M. roscoffensis (and distinctness from other Ceratopera spp.), they restored the combination M. roscoffensis.
