Notes for Convoluta sordida

Graff L v 1882 (citation)-illustration -
Wagner F v 1891 (citation)- in his review of Graff 1891- footnote on p 654 says Graff now adds
	Cyrtomorpha subtilis to this species.

Graff L v 1891 (citation)- illustration on Plates IV and V. collected at various places in
Mediterranean. Notes confusion on opening and frontal glads as mouth in
description of Cyrtomorpha subtilis now he says that species = Convoluta sordida.
Note he lists this as in the monograph p 228.
frontal organ- well developed with clear [marked opening]
mouth- large slit- short pharynx with lip like raise in epithelium- mouth attached to this.
muscle- "most muscular of all acoela"- strong dorso-vental muscles, etc.
color- greenish brown from pigment granules. Rhabdites in pockets and crystalloids near
otoliths , sensory hairs over surface.
	ripe eggs- yellow
female bursal nozzle 0.035 mm long 0.012 mm
antrum- he says probably like other Convoluta.
genital pore- lined with epithelium- accessory glands.
epithelium- goes directly into penis tube- muscle layer splits, part to penis
and part to penis sheath into which penis intrudes and which ends at entrance
of "vas diferentia" granular secretion inside sheath which are probably secreted by
		glandular cells inside sheath.

Graff dalled these glands with a chitenous tube- later = taste hairs??
