Abstract / Notes
There are descriptions and figures of Dalyellia viridis carolinensis, Mesostoma vernale, and M. curvipenis from vernal pools in N. Carolina and Delaware. Castrella pinguis (Silliman), 1884, is considered identical with C. marginata (Leidy), 1847. New records are given for Phaenocora kepneri Gilbert, 1935. Hymanella retenuova Castle, 1941, and Phagocata velata (Stringer), 1909, here recorded for the first time outside the Mississippi valley. The original description of H. retenuova is corrected in some details. The occurrence of the European alloeocoel Otomesostoma auditivum (Forel and Du Plessis), 1875, at depths of 41 to 128 feet in Echo Lake at 7500 feet elevation near Lake Tahoe, California, is recorded.
