Protocotylus magnus Notes
[Note from Timoshkin, March, 2005]: All types of the giant Baikalian triclad Protocotylus magnus were lost. In fact, this name was a species incertae sedis (Porfirieva, 1977) until our re-investigation of this very rare species from 3 specimens taken at 1200-1300 m depth in 1980. Histological study showed these could be identified as Protocotylus magnus Korotneff 1912. see (citation)
