Dolichoplana striata Notes

Ball & Reynoldson 1981 {9518)- p. 110, "A native of Indo-Malaya D. striata is one of the most common tropical species to have become widespread in other parts of the world. In temperate areas it is usually associated with greenhouses but in the southern USA it has become established out of doors where it is now a nuisance in earthworm rearing-beds Hyman 1954 (citation). There is only one report of the species in the British Isles. Southern 1936 (citation) recorded D. feildeni von Graff from the Orchid House of the Botanic Garden at Glasnevin, near Dublin. Most specialists agree that this species and D. striata are conspecific (Hyman 1943 {15493)."
