Convolutidae Adenopea Diagnosis


Bursa with a sclerotized mouthpiece. Genital pores separate, always ventral. Copulatory organ consisting of a tubiform, usually ciliated penis, with a thick epithelium (antrum masculinum), always in combination with an adenodactyl. Vesicula seminalis divided into two parts, one secretory and one sperm-bearing, arranged on the proximal end of the penis. Vagina usually ciliated. Female genital pore without stimulatory organs. Brain insunk. Frontal glands with or without common opening, at times very numerous. Usually without enfolded lateral sides. Symbiotic algae, rhabdoids, pigments, and concrements very diverse. Without pigmented eyespots.
